Given :
A man when move with a speed of 15 km/h reaches his office 30 minutes late and he reaches his office on time when he moves with a speed of 20 km/h
Formula used :
Time = Distance/Speed
Calculations :
Let the distance be 'D'
Let the time to cover the distance be 't'
According to the question
D/15 = t + (1/2) ....(1) (30 minutes = 1/2 hours)
D/20 = t ....(2)
Subtracting equation (2) form (1)
(D/15) - (D/20) = 1/2
D/60 = 1/2
⇒ D = 30 km
∴ The distance will be 30 km
