Puppies, especially golden retrievers, usually eat well and are greedy, so not eating is a worrying sign, especially if he's lost weight. This may not be a simple matter of recommending a different food, but could be an underlying health problem that needs further attention. I would suggest at least phoning the vet to alert her to this new development, then take her advice.
