Given:

Average score of section A = 92

New average of section A = 90

Formula:

Average score of n students = Total score of N students/n

Calculation:

Total score of section A = 92 × 40 = 3680

Total score of moved students = 95 × 2 = 190

Total score of section A after two students moved to other section = 3680 - 190 = 3490

Total new score of section A after two students joined = 90 × 40 = 3600

Total score of new 2 students = 3600 - 3490 = 110

∴ Average of two new students = 110/2 = 55
