Unplug the toaster oven. Lay a large sheet of newspaper or other paper on the countertop. Pick the toaster oven up off the counter it is sitting on. Be sure to hold the toaster with both hands on either side to ensure a good grip; if you are not strong enough to do this, have someone who is do this part. Gently tip it right over onto the newspaper. All the crumbs should fall out onto the paper; tap gently on the back of it to help remove more. The remaining crumbs can be wiped out by hand with a damp cloth.
