I'd recommend just sitting down on the ground and looking at the room from the baby's perspective. Look at the room from a variety of angles. Try to spot anything the baby might fiddle with or try to climb on. I think most expecting parents have a pretty easy time figuring out what needs to be fixed when they get down on the baby's level.
