Keep yourself busy. Get your feel-good chemicals from spending time with friends, community, and self-care. Your mood will not want to do this - if you let your body have its way during this time of shock, it will tell you to isolate yourself and either stop eating or indulge in ice cream (after heartache, your body goes into survivor mode, and often there’s a suppression of appetite, or the urge to eat sweet or salty foods because your taste buds become less sensitive).
