Total annual rent = Rs. 415

X grazed 25 cows for 6 months

Y grazes 40 cows for 8 months

Z grazed 30 cows for 12 months

Calculation:

According to question:

25 cows × 6 months : 40 cows × 8 months : 30 cows × 12 months

⇒ 15: 32: 36

⇒ 83

⇒ 83 units = 415

⇒ 1 units = 415 / 83 = Rs. 5

⇒ 5 × 32 = 160

∴ Y paid Rs. 160
