Let the total grass in the ground is = 25 × 15 = 375 units

These 25 cows grazed for 5 days

So, total grass grazed by 25 cows in 5 days = 25 × 5 = 125 units

Let the number of cows got ill after 5 days be x

⇒ grass left = 375 - 125 = 250 units

According to the question,

⇒ 250/25 = 25 - x

⇒ 10 = 25 - x

⇒ x = 15

∴ 15 cows were ill after 5 days
