Persons has Rs. 1000 and 19 bottles.

Calculation:

The number of bottles of cold drink he bought for Rs. 1000 = 1000/10 = 100

Number of bottles of cold drink he bought from returning 100 empty bottles = 100/10 = 10

Number of bottles of cold drink he bought from returning 10 empty bottles = 10/10 = 1

Number he has total number of empty bottles = 19 + 1 = 20

He bought number of bottles from returning 20 empty bottles = 20/10 = 2

Now he has only 2 empty bottles.
