The average marks of the first 11 students of a class are 46 and the average marks of the last 11 students of a class are 44. The average class of 21 students in the class is 45. What will be the average marks of the first 10 students?  Correct Answer 46.1

Total marks of first 11 students of class = 11 × 46 = 506

Total marks of last 11 students of class = 11 × 44 = 484

Total marks of 22 students of class = 21 × 45 = 945

The marks of 11th student = 506 + 484 – 945 = 45

Total marks of first 10 students = 506 – 45 = 461

∴ Required average = 461/10 = 46.1
