Bag A contains marbles of Rs.80 per dozen and bag B contains marbles of Rs.100 per dozen. If both bag marbles are mixed together then the price of marbles are Rs.95 per dozen then what is the percentage of marbles from bag B that is mixed into the mixture? Correct Answer 75%

The cost price of 1 dozen marbles of bag A = Rs.80

The cost price of 1 dozen marbles of bag B = Rs.100

Using rule of allegation,

⇒ (100 – 95) :  (95 – 80)

⇒  5 : 15

⇒ 1: 3

The ratio marbles mixed from bag A to bag B = 1 : 3

∴ Required percentage = 3/4 × 100 = 75%
