Let the basic salaries of A and B be x and y respectively.
Now, salary of A = salary of B

x + 65 % of x = y + 80 % of y

x + 65/ 100 × x = y + 80/ 100 × y

x + 65x/ 100 = y + 80y/ 100

x/ y = 180/ 165

x: y = 12: 11

The ratio of their basic pay is 12: 11

Hence, “12: 11” is the correct answer.
