Speed of thief is 10kmph

Speed of police is 11kmph

Formula used

Time taken to meet = Initial Distance / Relative Speed

Distance = speed × time

Calculation

Initial distance = 200m = 0.2km

Relative Speed = 11 - 10 = 1 kmph

Time taken to catch the thief = 0.2/1 = 0.2 hr

Distance travelled by Police = 11 × 0.2 = 2.2 km

∴ The policeman catches the thief at 2.2 km
