Calculation:

Let the distance travelled on foot be A.

Time taken on foot + Time taken by bicycle = Total time taken

⇒ (A/5) + (53 – A)/9 = 7

⇒ /45 = 7

⇒ 9A + 265 – 5A = 7 × 45

⇒ 4A = 315 – 265

⇒ A = 50/4

⇒ A = 12.5 km

∴ The Distance travelled by Ishani on foot is 12.5 km.
