Calculation:

Investment of capital by A and B is 5000 : 6000

A : B = 5 : 6

A receives 12.5% profit = 1/8

Total profit = 8 unit

As per the Question

8 unit = 880

1 unit = 110 → The Profit A gets.

7 unit is distributed between A and B.

Distributed amount = 770

Dividing 770 into 5 : 6 

A : B = 350 : 420 →  ratio of profit of A : B

Total profit earned by A = 350 + 110 = Rs.460
