Calculations :
sin2 60° + tan2 45° + sec2 45° - cosec2 30°
⇒ (√3/2)2 + (1)2 + (√2)2 - (2)2
⇒ (¾) + 1 + 2 - 4
⇒ (¾) + 3 - 4
= ¾ - 1 = - 1/4
∴ The correct choice is option 3.
