Ariba and Ayaan decided to use nails and a thread to make a circle on the ground. Ariba took a thin rope of length 5 meters and tied nails on both ends of the rope. Ariba fixed one end of the rope in the ground and kept holding it. She gave other end of rope to Ayaan and asked him to draw a circle. Similarly Ayaan took a thin rope of length 3 meters and made a circle in a same manner. What will be the ratio of areas of these two circles?

Given:
Radius of circle 1 = 5 m
Radius of circle 2 = 3 m
Formula Used:
Area of circle = πr2
Calculation:
Area of circle 1 = π(5)2
⇒ Area of circle 1 = 25 π m2
Area of circle 2 = π(3)2
⇒ Area of circle 2 = 9 π m2
Area of circle 1 ∶ Area of circle 2 = 25 π ∶ 9 π
∴ Area of circle 1 ∶ Area of circle 2 = 25 ∶ 9
The correct option is 2 i.e. 25 ∶ 9
