Time require to fill the tank with leakage = 180 + 45 = 225 min

Let volume of the tank be x liters.

Rate of filling without leakage = x/180 liter/min

Rate of emptying through leakage = x/225 liter/min

Rate of emptying = x/180 - x/225 = (2x - 1.6x)/360 = 0.4x/360 liter/hr

Time require to empty the full tank = (360 × x)/0.4x = 900 min

∴ Time require to empty the tank = 15 hr.
