Let the number of men be x

Time taken = 10 days

Now, after increment,

Number of men = (x + 3)

Time taken = 10 - 2 = 8

Now, as work done is equal

⇒ x × 10 = (x + 3) × 8

⇒ 10x = 8x + 24

⇒ 2x = 24

∴ x = 12
