A and B invest in a business in the ratio 4 : 3. The business makes a profit of Rs. 70, 000 in 1 year. They decided to reinvest 70% of the profit and to divide the remaining between them. How much will B get? Correct Answer 9,000

Investment ratio of A and B is 4 : 3 so they also get profit in ratio of 4 : 3.

∴ Let Profit part of A = 4x and profit part of B = 3x and total profit = 7x

Remaining profit which distributed = (100 – 70)% of 70, 000 = 21, 000

∴ Total profit 7x = 21, 000

⇒ x = 3000

∴ Profit part of A = 4 × 3000 = 12000

And profit part of B = 3 × 3000 = 9000
