Let the total work be 40 (L.C.M. of 10 and 40)

⇒ First day (Samrat) = 4

⇒ Second day (Virat) = 1

⇒ 2 days → 4 + 1 = 5

⇒ 16 days → 5 × 8 = 40

∴ The total work will be completed in 16 days.
