A recent survey for Delhi showed that 44% of the families own only one car per family, 25% of the remaining families own two cars per family and the rest of the population own three or more cars per family. Then, what is the percentage of people with three or more cars? Correct Answer 42%
According to the given information,
Let the number of cars be 100
44% of the families own only one car per family
So, number of families who own one car = 44
Remaining = 56
25% of the remaining families own two cars per family
25% of 56 = 14
44 + 14 = 58
Remaining cars = 42, which are owned by rest of the population.
Hence, “42%” is the correct answer.
