30 dozen of nuts were bought for Rs. 14400 and another 32 packets of nuts (20 nuts in each packet) were bought for Rs. 57600. If the nuts are mixed and then sold in a packet of five for Rs. 432, then how much is the profit percentage? Correct Answer 20%

Given:

CP of 30 dozen of nuts = Rs. 14400

CP of 360 nuts = Rs. 14400

CP of 32 packets of nuts (20 nuts in each) = Rs. 57600

CP of 640 nuts = Rs. 57600

Calculation:

Total nuts = 360 + 640 = 1000

Total CP = 14400 + 57600 = Rs. 72000

So CP of 1 nut = 72000/1000 = 72

CP of 5 nuts = 360

And SP of 5 nuts = 432

Profit = 432 - 360 = 72

∴ Profit percentage = 72 × 100/360 = 20%
