2/9 the people in a restaurant are adults. If there are 65 more children than adults, then how many children are there in the restaurant? Correct Answer 91
GIVEN:
Number of adults to total number of people ratio = 2 : 9
CALCULATION:
Let the number of adult be 2x and,
Total number of people be = 9x.
⇒ Total number of children = 9x – 2x = 7x
According to question there are 65 more children than adults
⇒ 7x – 2x = 65
⇒ x = 13
∴ Total number of children = 7 × 13 = 91
