If Rs. 8,000 can maintain a family of 4 persons for 40 days, for how long will Rs. 10,500 maintain a family of 6 persons? Correct Answer 35 days

Given,

Rs. 8,000 can maintain a family of 4 persons for 40 days.

Rs. 10,500 maintain a family of 6 persons. 

 x is the number of days to maintain Rs. 10500 for the family of 6 person.

8000 / 40 × 4 = 10500 / 6 × x

8000 / 160 = 10500/ 6 × x

50 × (6 × x) = 10500

300 × x = 10500

x = 10500 ÷ 300

x = 35

So ,Rs. 10500 can maintain a family of 6 persons for 35 days.

Hence, '35' is the correct answer.
