A man bought watermelons at the rate of 54 for Rs. 2700 and sold them at rate of  4 for Rs. 280. How many watermelons should be sold to earn a profit of Rs. 1200? Correct Answer 60

Given:

He bought 54 watermelons for Rs. 2700

Calculation:

Price of one watermelons = Rs 2700/54 = Rs. 50

Price of one watermelon when he is selling = 280/4 = Rs. 70

Profit on one watermelon = 70 - 50 = Rs. 20

For Rs. 1200 profit he will sale watermelon = 1200/20 = 60

∴ The required result will be 60.
