Total profit is Rs. 24,00,000.

Half of the profit is distributed according to the investment.

Half of the profit is distributed according to the number of hours.

Calculation:

Half of the total profit = 1/2 × 24,00,000

⇒ Half of the total profit = 12,00,000

According to the question,

12,00,000 is distributed according to the first chart

In the first chart,

Total % = 15% + 25% + 40% + 20%

⇒ Total % = 100%

Out of which D gets 20%

From the total amount D will get,

⇒ 20/100 × 12,00,000

⇒ 1/5 × 12,00,000

⇒ 2,40,000

Now according to the question,

In the second chart,

Total % = 33% + 25% + 25% + 17%

⇒ Total % = 100%    

Out of which D gets 17%

From the total amount D will get,

⇒ 17/100 × 12,00,000

⇒ 17 × 12,000

⇒ 2,04,000

Total profit earned by D,

⇒ 2,40,000 + 2,04,000

⇒ 4,44,000
