Ram jogs on a track A at 12kmph and Shyam jogs on track B at 15kmph. The total length of tracks A and B is 650m. While Ram makes 18 rounds of track A, Shyam makes 10 rounds of track B. In how many seconds will Shyam, make one round of track A?
Ram jogs on a track A at 12kmph and Shyam jogs on track B at 15kmph. The total length of tracks A and B is 650m. While Ram makes 18 rounds of track A, Shyam makes 10 rounds of track B. In how many seconds will Shyam, make one round of track A? Correct Answer 48sec
Given:
Ram jogs on track A at 12kmph
Shyam jogs on track B at 15kmph
The total length of track A and B is 650m
While Ram makes 18 round of track A, Shyam makes 10 rounds of track B.
Formula Used:
Distance = Speed × Time
Calculation:
Let length of track A be A and B be 650 – A
According to Question,
⇒ 18A/12 = 10(650 – A)/15
⇒ 270A = 78000 – 120A
⇒ 390A = 78000
⇒ A = 200
⇒ B = 650 – 200 = 450
⇒ Shyam jogs at 15kmph = 15 × (5/18)
∴ Time taken by Shyam = 200/(15 × 5/18) = 48sec.
