Given ∶

Ali can complete his task in 24 days

Shiv can complete the task in 18 days

Remaining work completed by shiv in 11 days.

Formula Used∶

Use of the concept of 'Ratio' in 'Time and Work'.

Calculation∶

Ali does the work in 24 days

Shiv does the work in 1 days = 1/24

Shiv does the work in 18 days

Shiv does the work in 1 day = 1/18

After Ali leave, Shiv completes the remaining work in 11 days

i.e. Shiv's part of work in 11 days = 11/18

Remaining work = 1 - 11/18 = 7/18

Remaining work 7/18 is done by Ali and Shiv together in x days.

⇒ (x/24) + (x/18) = 7/18

⇒ 7x/72 = 7/18

⇒ x = 4

∴ Ali leaves after 4 days.
