A man builds 1/20th part of the wall every day. Out of the length of the wall built per day, 20% falls off at the end of the day till the wall completely built-in how many days can complete the construction of the wall? Correct Answer 24.8 days

Given;

A man builds 1/20th part of the wall every day

Concept;

Work = Efficiency × Time

Calculation:

⇒ The portion of wall built per day = 1/20th = 5%

⇒ 20% of this wall fall off

⇒ So, 4% of the wall is completed in every day

⇒ To determine whether the whole of the 25th day is needed for work, consider work done in 24 days

⇒ In 24 days 96% of the wall is built. On the 25th day (1/25)th has to be built so he takes = 1/25/1/20 = 20/25 = 4/5

⇒ So, he take total time to build the wall = 24 + 4/5 = 124/5 days

∴ The required result will be 24.8 days.
