Degree of static determinacy is given by –

Ds = 3m – 3j + Re

Degree of kinematic indeterminacy is given by –

Dk = 3j – Re

Here,

m – number of members

j – number of joints

Re – number of external reactions

Calculation:

Given,

m = 11

j = 10

Re = 9

∴ Ds = 3(11) – 3(10) + 9 = 12

∴ Dk = 3(10) – 9 = 21

Since no option is correct for Dk.

We will be assuming that all the members are inextensible. There will be no elongation i.e. no translation displacement. 

∴ Dk = 21 – m = 21 – 11 = 10
