The pie chart shows the proportionate population of 7 districts. The 7 districts make up a town. If the population of Districts B, D and E add upto 80,000, then what is the total population of the other districts? Correct Answer 120000

Given:

Population of districts B, D and E = 80,000

Calculation:

Let the Proportionate population of districts be in units

The population of other districts A, C, F, G are 6, 5, 30 and 19 respectively.

According to the question

The proportionate population of B, D, and E = 80,000

⇒ (11 + 12 + 17) units = 80,000

⇒ 40 units = 80,000

⇒ 1 units = 2000

Population of other districts = 60 units

⇒ (6 + 5 + 30 + 19) units

⇒ 60 units

⇒ 2000 × 60

⇒ 120000

∴ The total population of other districts is 120000.
