The pie chart given below shows the fuel consumption by five vehicles V1, V2, V3, V4 and V5. In a month total fuel consumption by all five vehicles is 720 litre. Fuel consumption of a particular vehicle is shown in terms of degree with respect to the total fuel consumption by all these five vehicles. J1 = Difference between the fuel consumption of V4 and V5. J2 = Difference between the fuel consumption of V1 and V2. What is the value of J2 – J1?
The pie chart given below shows the fuel consumption by five vehicles V1, V2, V3, V4 and V5. In a month total fuel consumption by all five vehicles is 720 litre. Fuel consumption of a particular vehicle is shown in terms of degree with respect to the total fuel consumption by all these five vehicles. J1 = Difference between the fuel consumption of V4 and V5. J2 = Difference between the fuel consumption of V1 and V2. What is the value of J2 – J1? Correct Answer 10 litres
Given:
Total fuel consumption of all vehicles = 720 litre
Calculation:
Fuel consumption of V4 = (80/360) × 720 = 160 litre
Fuel consumption of V5 = (20/360) × 720 = 40 litre
⇒ J1 = 160 - 40 = 120 l
Fuel consumption of V1 = (110/360) × 720 = 220 litre
Fuel consumption of V2 = (45/360) × 720 = 90 litre
⇒ J2 = 220 - 90 = 130 litre
∴ J2 - J1 = 130 - 120 = 10 litre
