Calculation:

Rita's longest jump = 3 m 40 cm = (3 × 100) + 40 = 340 cm

Tanu's  jump is 20 cm less than Rita's.

Then, Tanu's jump = 340 - 20 = 320 cm

Rihana's jump is only 5 cm less than Tanu's jump.

Rihana's jump = 320 - 5 = 315 cm

Difference between Rita's jump and Rihana's jump = 340 - 315 = 25 cm

∴​ Rihana could not secure the first rank for 25 cm.
