Given,

There are three numbers a, b and c.

Sum of fist two numbers is equal to the third number

Difference of two numbers is 1 / 5th of the third number

First number a = 20

Calculation:

According to the question

a + b = c       ---(1)

b - a = c / 5       ---(2)

Subtract equation (2) from equation (1), we get

2a = 4c / 5

Putting a = 20

2 × 20 = 4c / 5

⇒ c = (40 × 5) / 4

⇒ c = 50

∴ Third number is 50.
