Given:

Divisor: remainder = 3 : 2     ----- (i)

Divisor: quotient = 7 : 12      ----- (ii)

Multiply equation (i) by 7 and equation (ii) by 3

⇒ Divisor : remainder : quotient = 21 : 14 : 36

Divident = divisor × quotient + remainder

⇒ 21 × 36 + 14 = 770

According to question

⇒ 770/9 = 85 + 5/9

∴ Remainder in this case = 5
