When numerator and denominator of a fraction are increased by 6(2/3)% and 66(2/3)% respectively, the ratio of numerator and denominator becomes reverse. Find that the numerator of the fraction is what per cent of its denominator. Correct Answer 125%

Let the fraction be x/y.

So, the initial ratio of numerator and denominator of the fraction= x : y

6(2/3)% = (20/3)% = 20/300, 66(2/3)% = (200/3)% = 200/300

According to the question:

/ = y/x

32x/50y = y/x

16x/25y = y/x

16x2 = 25y2

By taking square root on both sides:

4x = 5y

x/y = 5/4

Required percentage = (5/4) × 100 = 125%
