when is a function f[n] said to be left-sided?
when is a function f[n] said to be left-sided? Correct Answer f[n] = 0 for n > n0 , n0 is positive integer
Concept:
Signals can be represented in three different possibilities.
1.Right-sided signal
2. Left-sided signal
3. Two-sided signal
= 0 for
n0 < 0
Left sided
f(t) = 0 for t0 > 0
f = 0 for
n0 > 0
Two sided
f(t) ≠ 0 ∀ t
f ≠ 0 ∀ n
From the above table we can conclude that for function to be left sided in discrete time domain the condition is:
f = 0 for n > 0 or f = 0 for n > n0
