Given:

Hemang and Nidhi got married 30 years ago.

Nidhi is 6 years younger than Hemang.

When they got married, 2 times of the Nidhi’s age and 1.6 times of the Hemang's age was equal.

Formula:

If ratio of A and B is = x ∶ y

∴ A / B = x / y

Calculation:

Let, Hemang’s present age = x

∴ Nidhi’s present age = x - 6

According to the question,

⇒ 2 × {(x - 6) - 30} = 1.6 × (x - 30)

⇒ 2x - 72 = 1.6x - 48

⇒ 0.4x = 24

⇒ x = 24 / 0.4

⇒ x = 60

∴ Present age of Nidhi = (60 - 6) = 54 years
