Savita went to ATM to withdraw some money. She got five notes of Rs. 2000, four notes for Rs. 500 and nine notes of Rs. 100. On counting she found that 1 note of Rs. 2000 and 1 note of Rs. 100 are less in the whole amount. How much amount did she enter for withdrawal? Correct Answer 15000

Given:

Savita got Rs. 2000 note of total = 5

Rs. 500 note of total = 4

Rs. 100 note of total = 9

Calculation:

Savita got total amount = (2000 × 5) + (500 × 4) + (100 × 9) = Rs. 12900

But, she found that 1 note of Rs. 2000 and 1 note of Rs. 100 are less in the whole amount.

Total less amount = (2000 × 1) + (100 × 1) = Rs. 2100

∴ She withdrew total amount = 12900 + 2100 = Rs. 15000

∴ She entered Rs. 15000 for withdrawal from ATM.
