Let the no. of wickets taken before the last match be 'n'.

Total runs at 28.95 runs per wicket = 28.95n

Total runs after the current match = 28.95n + 56

Total no. of wickets after the current match = n + 6

Bowling Average after the current

⇒ (28.95n + 56)/(n + 6) = 28.95 – 0.95

⇒ (28.95n + 56)/(n + 6) = 28

⇒ (28.95n + 56) = 28(n + 6)

⇒ (28.95n + 56) = 28n + 168

⇒ 0.95n = 112

⇒ n = 112/ 0.95 = 117.89

The number of wickets after the last match = 117.89 + 6 = 123.89 ≈ 124
