Study the following graph that shows the number of boys and girls who appeared for the Class X examination in a school XYZ, in different years.   The average of the number of boys who appeared in 2011, 2013, and 2015 is what percentage less than the number of girls who appeared in 2014? Correct Answer 6.25%

Calculation:- According to the question, the number of boys in 2011 is= 225
The number of boys in 2013 is= 300
The number of boys in 2015 is= 375
The summation of these three is= 225 + 300 + 375= 900

Hence, the average is= 900/3= 300

The number of girls appeared in 2014 is= 320

⇒ (320 - 300)÷ 320× 100

⇒ 100÷ 16

⇒ 6.25%

Hence, the average of the number of boys who appeared in 2011, 2013, and 2015 is 6.25% less than the number of girls who appeared in 2014.
