NCERT stands for: Correct Answer National Council of Educational Research and Training
The National Council of Educational Research and Training, commonly known as NCERT, is an autonomous constitutional body established on 1st September 1961 to assist the government on academic matters.
- NCERT is an organization that looks after various programs meant for imparting quality education at the national level.
- Psychology is defined as the science of behavior that can be observed and measured. NCERT introduces children to the world of psychology by writing textbooks for schools as now:
- textbooks are prepared to introduce learners to the fundamentals of Psychology.
- besides providing basic disciplinary knowledge, textbooks focus on enhancing learner's curiosity and understanding of people’s behaviour and that of their own.
- interactive nature of the textbook helps learners to understand psychology as a discipline
as well as the practical applications of psychology in day-to-day life.
