How to calculate the fuel consumption of an engine in kg/hr theoretically? Correct Answer (Mf = Vf * ρf * 3600) / ∆t
Actual fuel consumption of an engine is the amount of fuel consumed per unit distance. It is also calculated using the formula in a theoretical manner. Where Mf – mass flow rate, Vf – Volume of fuel, ρf – density of fuel and ∆t – time in which the tank empties itself while supplying fuel to a running engine.
