The age of women is two less than the average age of the family at that time. 

Concept:

Average = Sum of all values/Number of value

Calculation:

Age of woman = Average age of family four years ago – 2

⇒ 35 – 2 = 33  

Sum of present age of all 4 family member = (Average age of family four year ago × 4) + (4 × 4)

⇒ 35 × 4 + 16 = 156  

The new average age of family = Total sum of age/Total family members

⇒ (156 + 33)/5 = 189/5  

∴ The new average age of the family is 189/5.
