Calculation:

According to the formula, we have

Average production = {(2001 + 2009 + 3001 + 3011 + 3015)/5} tonnes

⇒ (13037/5) tonnes = 2607.4 tonnes

Production of S2 = 2009 tonnes

So, required difference = (2607.4 - 2009) tonnes = 598.4 tonnes

∴ Production of S2 is 598.4 tonnes less than average production.
