The following question, there are three statements I, II and III. Read the question carefully and mark your answer according to which statements(s) is/are sufficient to the answer the question. Aman, Raunak and Bhavesh started a business investing money in the ratio of4:5:3 respectively for a duration of 5 years. Find the amount received by Aman as profit. Statement I: Total amount invested in the business is Rs. 80,000 Statement II: Profit earned at the end of the 5 years is (3/8) times of the total investment Statement III: The average amount of profit earned every year is Rs. 2400 Correct Answer Either III or I and II

From statement I and II, we get

Profit after 5 years = (3/8) × 80000 = Rs. 30000

Share of Aman = 30000 × 3/12 = Rs. 7500

From statement III

Profit after 5 years = 2400 × 5 = Rs. 12000

Share of Aman = 12000 × (4/12) = Rs. 4000

∴ Either statement I and II together or statement III alone are sufficient to answer the question.
