If a square of a side 20 m is folded along one of its diagonal to form a triangle which is again folded along perpendicular drawn on hypotenuse and similarly once again folded along perpendicular drawn on hypotenuse. Then find hypotenuse of smallest triangle?

If a square of a side 20 m is folded along one of its diagonal to form a triangle which is again folded along perpendicular drawn on hypotenuse and similarly once again folded along perpendicular drawn on hypotenuse. Then find hypotenuse of smallest triangle?  Correct Answer 10√2

1. Square:

Sides = 20 m

Diagonal = 20√2 m

2. Triangle 1:

Sides = 20 m

Hypotenuse = 20√2 m

Perpendicular on hypotenuse = 10√2 m

3. Triangle 2:

Sides = 10√2 m

Hypotenuse = 20 m

Perpendicular on hypotenuse = 10 m

In triangle 3, side of triangle 2 is its hypotenuse so answer is 10√2 m
