"Gaj Yatra" was launched to identify and protect the natural routes for Elephants in Tura, Garo Hills of Meghalaya.
- Gaj Yatra campaign was launched on the 12th of August, 2017 which is 'The World Elephant Day'. Campaign was launched by the then Union Minister for Environment, forest and Climate change Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
- Gaj yatra aims at securing 100 Elephant corridors across India.
