Each question given below consists of a stamen, followed by two arguments numbered I & II. You have to decide which of the arguments is a ‘strong argument’. Statement: Is global warming a real threat? Arguments: I. Yes, it is a threat leading to the consequences of sea level rise, extreme heat, heightened wildlife risk, and drought and other water supply issues. II. No Global warming is misconception created by some people. Correct Answer Only argument I is strong

Global warming is the gradual heating of Earth’s surface, oceans and atmosphere due to man-made causes.

The direct consequences of global warming are sea-level rise, increase in temperatures, risk to flora and fauna, water shortage etc.

Since these effects are already visible in our daily life, global warming has to be a real threat and not a misconception.

Hence only argument I is strong.
